Kill ChainGraph: Predicting Cyber Attacks with ML

A new machine learning framework, KillChainGraph, has been developed by researchers from Frondeur Labs, DistributedApps.ai, and OWASP. It helps defenders anticipate attacker behavior by forecasting adversary techniques throughout the Cyber Kill Chain—improving threat defense planning.

A promising ML algorithm now uses cardiac MRI images to identify which breast cancer patients are at risk of cardiotoxicity during treatment. Led by Dr. Paaladinesh Thavendiranathan at Toronto General Hospital, the model analyzes data from the whole heart rather than just single chambers—enhancing risk prediction accuracy.

ML Accelerates Lipid Nanoparticle Design

Computational methods, including machine learning, are aiding the optimization of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs)—key delivery vehicles for genetic medicines. When combined with molecular dynamics and fluid simulations, ML helps navigate complex design parameters more efficiently.

An interpretable ML model has been developed to identify predictors of respiratory failure requiring intubation in patients with rib fractures—some of which were previously undetected by older models.
